1. Aim:    To implement the procedure for operating the Analgesiometer (Eddy's Hot Plate Method)

2. Purpose:  This SOP is used to perform the experiment methodically by the students in the Pharmacology

3. Responsibility: Lecturer and Lab Technician

4. Procedure:
5.  1.      Clean the chamber and floor.
   
   
   2.      Place the 3-pin plug top of the equipment in to the corresponding socket of 220V. Ac. Mains supply.
   
   
   3.      Switch on the equipment by bringing the power on control to on position.  The pilot lamp will glow.
   
   
   4.      Galvanometer indicates the room temperature.
   
   
   5.      Press the button marked the press to set temp to get desired temperature.
   
   
   6.      The indicator marked heat on will light up as soon as the current starts flowing through the heating elements.
   
   
   7.       After the temperature is maintained the test animal may be placed on the floor by opening the top lid.
